About the course

This structured and informative course explores the major grape varieties and important regions that define the world’s key wines. You’ll learn about production, key labelling terminology and major classifications to help you identify wines with confidence. A basic introduction to the main spirits categories is also provided as an online video segment and in-class revision exercise. Successful students will receive a WSET certificate and lapel pin.

Gloria J. Chang 

Gloria J. Chang is a Canadian wine journalist and educator currently based in Seoul, Korea. Her food, wine, and travel stories have been published in The Vancouver Sun Travel, Westjet Magazine, The Georgia Straight,, and her own editorial wine website: Gloria is formally educated in wine through the internationally recognized Wine & Spirits Education Trust (WSET) with certification in WSET 3 Advanced and the prestigious WSET 4 Diploma (spirits excepted). 

She is a recipient of the Les Dames d’Escoffier International Legacy Award in Wine, and a member of the Guild of Sommeliers.Gloria has traveled to many of the world’s major wine regions and draws on her practical experience in the vineyards, interviews with winemakers, and her formal wine education combined with her teaching experience and storytelling skills to engage and enlighten in all things wine. She leads public and private wine tastings through and teaches WSET 2 in English at Winevision.

Gloria is fluent in wine, English, and French, and conversational in Korean.
