Korea Sommelier of the Year

코리아 소믈리에 오브 더 이어 대회는 한국 와인 문화를 발전시키고 와인 및 소믈리에에 대한 한국 대중의 인식을 높이기 위해 설립되었습니다. 이 대회는 특정 국가나 지역에 국한되지 않는 국제적인 기준 아래에서 전 세계의 와인을 대상으로 합니다. 그 결과에 대한 심사를 국제적으로 인정받은 패널에게 맡김으로써 그 가치, 절차, 그리고 수상 결과에 대한 세계적인 신뢰를 확보하는 한국에서 유일한 소믈리에 대회입니다.

이 패널에는 CMS의 창립자이자 CMS 유럽 지부의 CEO인 브라이언 줄리안과 같은 마스터 소믈리에와 와인 마스터들이 포함되어 있습니다. 지난 6번의 대회를 통해 "코리아 소믈리에 오브 더 이어" 대회는 한국에서 가장 명망 있는 소믈리에 대회로 자리매김하게 되었습니다. 7회 대회부터는 'Court of Master Sommelier America'가 스폰서로 참여하여 마스터 소믈리에들의 대회 심사를 지원하게 되었습니다. 이로써 더욱 풍부한 전문 지식과 경험을 가진 심사위원들이 대회의 품질과 신뢰도를 높이는데 기여하게 될 것입니다.

The Korea Sommelier of the Year competition was established to foster the growth of Korean wine culture and raise awareness of wine and sommeliers among the Korean public. It is the only sommelier competition in Korea operating under international standards, evaluating wines from across the globe, and ensuring worldwide confidence in its values, procedures, and award results. 

This is achieved by entrusting the deliberation over these results to an internationally distinguished panel of judges, which includes Master Sommeliers and Masters of Wine such as Brian Julyan, founder of CMS and CEO of the CMS European Chapter. Over the course of its six past competitions, the "Korea Sommelier of the Year" competition has established itself as Korea's most prestigious sommelier competition. Starting from the 7th competition, the 'Court of Master Sommelier America' has come on board as a sponsor, providing a judging panel composed of Master Sommeliers. This collaboration ensures an even higher level of expertise and experience among the judges, contributing to the quality and credibility of the competition.
